Giorgio Chiellini Becomes Co-Owner of Los Angeles FC
"Joining the LAFC ownership group is a great honor for me,” Chiellini declared in a statement released via lafc.com.
Reflecting on his journey, he shared, "When I arrived here three years ago as a player, I immediately felt that there was something special about this club. It is an ambitious organization, built by extraordinary people and supported by a community that truly makes you feel at home. That is why, last year, I expressed my desire to become an owner, and now I’m proud to continue this journey and give my support to a project I deeply believe in."
Chiellini’s decorated tenure with Juventus, spanning from 2005 to 2022, saw him achieve immense success.
He secured nine Serie A championships, five Coppa Italia titles, and five Supercoppa Italiana victories while playing as a central defender.
Now 40 years old, the veteran also played a pivotal role in helping the Italian national team win the UEFA Euro 2020.
After concluding his professional playing days in Italy, Chiellini transitioned to MLS, representing Los Angeles FC from July 2022 until the close of the 2023 season.
